Data retention

Back in Stock Alerts uses several retention periods to limit unnecessary storage while supporting alert delivery and privacy obligations.

Automatic deletion​

  • Soft-deleted alert requests, customers, notifications, notification tasks and order information are permanently removed from the primary database after 30 days.
  • Data belonging to a store that uninstalled the app more than 90 days ago is automatically removed, including customer and alert data.
  • Alert requests that have never been triggered are removed after two years.
  • All alert requests are removed after five years.

Manual deletion​

Store admins can delete customers and alert requests. The records then follow the 30-day soft-deletion period.

Customers can exercise their right to erasure through the store they gave their data to. Store owners can also ask Hypa to delete app data at any time.

Backups​

Deleted data may remain in system backups for up to 30 additional days before it is permanently purged.

Request earlier deletion​

Email support@hypaapps.com with the store and data concerned. Hypa will process the request and remove the relevant data from active systems and backups within the applicable period.
