Customer privacy
Store owners remain responsible for using customer data lawfully. Back in Stock Alerts provides consent, unsubscribe and deletion controls to support that responsibility. See also Data residency and security and Data retention.
Cookies
The storefront sign-up form does not use cookies. A customer can request an alert regardless of whether they accept the storefront's cookie policy.
Unsubscribe controls
Each notification email contains:
- A link to unsubscribe from further alerts for the product in that email.
- A link to unsubscribe from all stock alerts.
Back in Stock Alerts does not provide a customer preference centre. You can build one with the customer alert-request API.
When a customer asks your support team to unsubscribe them, open the alert-requests list, search for the customer and remove the relevant requests. See Viewing alert requests.
Delete customer data
Admins can delete customers and alert requests in the app. These soft-deleted records are permanently removed according to the periods in Data retention.
For a broader deletion request, email support@hypaapps.com. Read the Hypa privacy policy for more information about how Hypa handles personal data.
